This is a very special collaboration between Jazz musician Mindi Abair and Spaghettini, a legendary restaurant and Jazz club in Southern California. This sparkling wine celebrates successful women achieving excellence in the Music, Wine and Culinary Arts.
A beautiful salmon color resembling the delicate petals of a rose. The nose offers a bouquet of red berries, such as strawberries and raspberries, along with subtle floral notes like rose petals. On the palate, it is crisp showcasing flavors of fresh red fruits, particularly strawberries and raspberries, which provide a delightful sweetness. It’s a welcome back to one of our most beloved red wines, the 2018 Castanets Dry Creek Valley Grenache. We knew how much our members loved this wine as it sold out within months of the last release. We happened to mention this to the winemaker and to our surprise she said, “Well, I have 6 barrels in my cellar, do you want them”? Of which we quickly replied, “If we could blend in a touch of Syrah to give it a bit more fruit profile, YES.” Which led us to this… our Grenache is back! With earthy flavors of dried forest floor and leather, the Syrah gives it a perfect jammy fruit kick integrated masterfully with warm clove and cinnamon stick. And our retro cut-out of a beautiful girl dancing in a red dress next to the guitarist pays homage to Grenache’s heritage of Spain and the signature Flamenco music. This playlist is a must listen while drinking this wine.

This family-owned perfectly manicured estate sits on top of basalt cliffs overlooking the Columbia River (see pictures on our website) giving the wine the perfect place for warm days and river-cooled nights, all leading to excellent structure, complexity and finesse. On first sip you will notice that it is confident but elegant (think James Bond 007.) It has dark black cherry and blackberry notes, with an earthy almost wet cedar profile and a creamy oak finish.

What started many years ago as one tiny olive tree in the yard of his new home in Dry Creek Valley later turned into 700 trees. He makes such a small amount that you can only find it in a few local stores, and now with us! This oil is at first spicy then creamy and nutty with a soft elegance and smooth texture, showcasing its small farm love.
