The Columbia Valley in WA is a winemaker's paradise, boasting a unique blend of climate, soil, and topography that creates the perfect environment for big reds. With over 300 cloudless days each year, the region enjoys long, sun-drenched days allowing grapes to develop rich, dark yet balanced flavors. The well-drained soils, shaped by ancient floods that visited this region, contribute to the distinct profile that sets this valleys red wines apart from all others.

A symphony of 48% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Malbec, and 10% Syrah, each varietal plays its part: Merlot offers a velvety base with luscious plum notes; the Cab adds depth and structure with its firm dry tannin; Malbec brings a burst of dark fruit and a deep garnet color; and Syrah ties it all together with with its signature jammy-ness and a whisper of black pepper. The result is an aromatic masterpiece featuring dark red cherries and delicate spice, leading to a palate of juicy plum, blackberry, and a hint of pepper, all culminating in a smooth finish.

LABEL ARTWORK & DESIGN by Eric Guerra & Mindi Abair

Our wine label features a captivating design crafted by our daughter & artist Jordyn Guerra, who created a continuous line drawing of a string quartet. This single, unbroken stroke begins on the left and gracefully weaves through the composition, depicting two violins, a viola, and a cello, before concluding on the right. This artistic choice mirrors the seamless harmony of our "String Quartet" red blend, where four distinct varietals unite to create a symphony of flavors. The paper stock is of fine Italian milled linen with a single clear-foiled S that weaves it’s way throughout. Elegance, beauty and creativity together.

MUSIC PAIRING & PLAYLIST by Mindi

I found this wine a harmonious blend of four distinct varietals, each contributing unique notes to create a symphony of flavors that clearly surpasses the sum of its parts. This artful blending reflects the timeless tradition of the string quartet in classical music, where two violins, a viola, and a cello unite to produce profoundly moving compositions. The string quartet has long been a cornerstone of chamber music, captivating audiences in concert halls worldwide... and something I listen to while in the kitchen with my Cork Dork. Esteemed composers such as Joseph Haydn, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Franz Schubert have enriched this genre with their remarkable works.
