We believe wine can be a very visual experience. The wine label offers a canvas to showcase an artist’s creativity, thoughts and ideas with visually captivating designs.
This is one of those very special instances where the wine needed to rise up to the level of beauty and excellence of the label design itself. Introducing original artwork created by our daughter, artist Jordyn Guerra.

We normally would not buy a Chardonnay with a little age on it…however this wine was crafted so exceptionally that it is hitting its peak of maturity at an outstanding level of quality. So, we know we have something very special here.
The now legendary Russian River Valley is one of the most famous in the world for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Meandering down the center and leading out to the cool Pacific Ocean is the Russian River. This little gap in the mountain range offers a funnel for that ocean-cooled air to reach the vineyards and provide the nighttime coolness these grapes need and love to reach perfection.
Like fine jewelry in a glass, the color is a gorgeous medium gold. The aromas are pronounced tropical fruits along with honey crisp apple and light citrus.. so beautifully expressive. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with flavors of light creamy oak with an abundance of mango, pineapple and honey crisp apple all showcasing the height of their excellence.
This wine is one of the main reasons that I love our membership. We get to find wines that are at the ideal place in their journey to enjoy today. It’s perfection in a glass..

ARTWORK & DESIGN
This label’s concept and artwork are very special to me for so many reasons. Those being the saxophone, jazz and family.
The artist Jordyn Guerra truly captured the essence of what I know to be the saxophone in this original digital painting. In our former Vive Le Jazz Chardonnay labels, the saxophone was depicted by an elegant simple black paint stroke on a white background. We flipped the artwork this time, favoring a matte black background with a beautiful white stroke of paint as our saxophone. This aged Russian River Chardonnay had to have its own artwork that would tip you off to how special this wine really is.
When I first tasted this Chardonnay, my eyes opened wide. It was stunning, elegant and so beautiful. I believe the pairing of this wine with Jazz is pure perfection. Jazz is pure, inspiring, refined and classic. It ages well, just like this wine!
Finally, whenever our daughter can have an artistic platform to shine, and shine brightly as she has done here, my heart fills with love and joy. I love her design as it depicts my instrument of choice and huge part of my life in one amazing brush stroke. And the joy I feel for her pure talent and accomplishment is what life’s moments are made of.

This playlist is full of songs that have inspired me over the years. Our Vive Le Jazz Russian River aged Chardonnay is multi-faceted, elegant and refined, and only gets better with age, just like the music these artists have created.
These melodies and harmonies seem to flow so easily, yet I know as a songwriter and artist the complicated harmonies and instrumental excellence that it took to make it all seem so effortless. I’ve spent my life creating music, mostly in the jazz world, and I appreciate the talent it takes to create a great melody or play and emote from the heart. This wine brings me there. Just like great music, it embodies the talent of the winemaker along with incredible fruit and the passage of time. These artists will move you. I believe you’ll find these songs a perfect pairing to our beautiful Chardonnay!
