Introducing our second Washington wine! Our first Washington wine was our Vive le Rock Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was so good, we thought to ourselves… we should do this again.

It’s no secret that Washington is quickly becoming one of the top wine regions of the world. In particular, I believe they truly excel at growing outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes. The Columbia Valley, like the Rhone Valley, is characterized by it’s vast, sweeping landscapes and semi-arid climate, which offers an ideal and perfect environment for Syrah vines to thrive.

This Syrah is noted for it’s striking balance between Old World complexity and New World fruit-forwardness. In the glass, it presents a deep, almost inky color, hinting at it’s intensity and depth. Aromatically and on the palate this wine is a delightful tapestry of dark fruits like blackberry, blueberry, and plum interwoven with notes of spice, such as black pepper, and a creamy oak finish. This wine is full bodied and rich, with remarkable balance and structure. This region’s significant temperature variation from warm days to cool nights helps preserve this wine’s natural acidity, which in turn imbues it with a freshness that showcases it richness.

This is a perfect representation of why the world loves Syrah.
